Emusic - Great site for independant music. They give 25 free songs to new sign-ups so you can test the service before you decide whether to buy. Oh, and you can keep the 25 songs permanently, even if you decide to quit before the trial period is up.                                   price is $9.95 to get 60 song downloads per month.

iTunes - One of the most trusted music download service there is. They have the biggest song collection, over 3 million songs. Also have movies, free podcasts, TV shows, and all the big name artists.
